the cheap, the cute and the practical

My cheap plastic shocking pink shoes. The price was incredibly cheap (unfortunately they're not very comfortable either) but every time I wear them they always make me feel like a little girl again. Is it the color or the polkadot bow that makes me feel like that? I think it's both, whatever it is, they are cute.

A cake for my niece's birthday. Don't tell anyone that I didn't make the cake myself, I just decorate it with buttercream, sprinkles and fondant. After a few failed attempts to make a perfect cake, I just give up and buy one. At least the buttercream and the fondant figures were made by me. This is the practical one.

What I'm trying to say is, it doesn't cost much to make us feel happy. It's what inside your mind that counts.
